R2R Junior Subject Matter Leader - Payments
Your Tasks & Responsibilities
- Responsible for complete, timely and qualitative execution of Payments & Bank Accounting activities, be and act as the senior expert within assigned area;
- Interact with key business functions (e.g. Treasury, Accounting, Controlling, Legal etc.) to ensure proper accounting for the particular areas of operation;
- Partner with the Center of Expertise (and Global Process Governance to ensure globally defined standards and activity splits, as well as to implement desired and necessary processes and changes;
- Responsible for monitoring operations of the service delivery of automatic payments activities and monitoring key process metrics that measure performance;
- Manage global or regional centralized operational activities with End-to-End view (execution of automated payments, netting and interest calculation within In-House Bank and Manual Payments, execution of other non-standardized payments and direct debits);
- Manage local centralized operational activities with End-to-End view (In House Cash operations, In House Cash Dashboard monitoring; contact to the house banks and external SWIFT provider);
- Payments operations overall monitoring and issue solving;
- Contribute to local as well small global projects,
- Monitoring, creation and update of Supporting Documentations.
- Identify possible issues and subsequently manage changes. Perform and use escalation management.
- Manage operational effectiveness of internal controls and quality control systems.
- Identifying needs for trainings in accounting/financial areas or specified process across departments, train and support various stakeholders.
- Act as process lead in given area of responsibility.
- Personal drive on very high level - looking for improvements, motivating others, stimulating to act, to coordinate a group of key users/experts.
Who You Are:
- University degree preferable in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant degree.
- Knowledge in Payments and Accounting Process.
- At least 5 years professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, Financial Analysis, Auditing or similar fields preferably in a multinational environment.
- Knowledge in In House Cash Process.
- Experience in Payments and in Accounting Process
- English C1 (Fluent communication, both spoken and written)
- Knowledge of German or other languages beneficial.
- Advanced with enterprise-wide business systems (SAP) and proficiency of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in conducting and preparing trainings and/or workshops.
- Advanced level of capabilities to lead change, projects and initiatives.
- Advanced level of capability to collaborate task/project oriented without geographical, organizational or functional boarders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance.
- Proactively driving problem solving /troubleshooting
- Foundational level of ability to use Data Analytics, visualization tools and methodologies to manage Financial Data quality (data structures and hierarchies, interconnected) for various stakeholder and different purposes.
- Ensuring accountability and consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
- Building partnerships / networks and working collaboratively with other to meet shared objectives
- Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity (honors commitments of others & keeps confidences)
