For our newly established IT Hub, we are looking for:

Senior Cloud Engineer

You will be responsible for:

• Live “automation first” mindset developing and deploying infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts and templates within the AWS cloud environment.
• Drive an engineering mindset focused on continually improving technology offerings with focus on automated setup and monitoring of platform components.
• Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and develop automated scripts or other code to assist in test case execution.
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing, catching, and solving issues before launch.
• Collaborate with data scientists and IT product managers over the entire product lifecycle being active member of respective product teams.
• Support scaling up activities transforming data science prototypes to industrialized end-to-end products.
• Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art Cloud Computing capabilities and possibilities in different industries and research.
• Demonstrate digital mindset applying the principles of agile product/project management in daily work.

We would expect from you:

You are somebody passionate about helping organization to reinvent and digitize its technical business foundation building on a cloud-based world of today and tomorrow. You are interested in joining a wide skilled and energetic team of IT & process specialists and data scientists working across the globe. You describe yourself as hands-on, able to build and run cloud solutions and platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of experience or Master’s degree with at least six years of experience or Ph.D. with at least three years of experience or comparable
• Strong knowledge in core suite of AWS services incl. AWS certification
• Strong working experience on successful engagements providing Continuous Delivery (CD) and employing Continuous Integration (CI) practices and tools.
• Containerization and container runtime orchestrators: using e.g. Kubernetes on AWS (EKS)
• Broad understanding and experience regarding scripting and coding best practices
• Expertise in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
• Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
